As the audience was filing out, one student was asked whether she had found any inspiration in what Buffett and Gates had to say. She smiled, and said that she was inspired to try and find her own inspiration.

Stanford, Duke, Rice, … and Gates?

Dear Bill Gates,

Hi! You don’t know me, but I have an idea about how you should spend your hard-earned money. I’ll bet you get a lot of that these days.

It’s an old idea, a 19th-century idea. But I think its time has come again. Two words: Gates University.
